Snohomish Farmers Market in October 2026: Dates and Downtown Events

"We're excited for another longer season," Sarah Dylan Jensen, executive director of the Snohomish Farmers Market, told the Snohomish County Tribune when the market opened in May. That longer season is now in its final stretch. The 2026 market runs from May 7 through October 29, Thursdays from 3 to 7 p.m. at Cedar and Pearl. The Tribune reported that the move into October started last year and is happening again this year. That makes this the second fall in a row with market Thursdays after September ended.

With the extra month, the market now closes for the season on October 29. The Historic Downtown Snohomish Association has set First Street Trick or Treat for Saturday, October 31. The fourth-Thursday Art Walk falls on October 22, in the middle of it all. In three weeks, downtown hosts its weekly market, its monthly art night and an afternoon of trick-or-treating, all within a few blocks of each other.

Three Thursdays, Then a Saturday

These are the dates from now through November on the City of Snohomish community calendar and the organizers' own pages:

Date Event Hours Where
Thursday, Oct. 15 Snohomish Farmers Market 3–7 p.m. Cedar and Pearl
Thursday, Oct. 22 Snohomish Farmers Market 3–7 p.m. Cedar and Pearl
Thursday, Oct. 22 Snoho Art Walk 5–8 p.m. Various downtown venues
Thursday, Oct. 29 Snohomish Farmers Market, final regular date 3–7 p.m. Cedar and Pearl
Saturday, Oct. 31 First Street Trick or Treat 3–5 p.m. First Street
Sunday, Nov. 22 Harvested Holiday Market One day Market organizers

The market's own site says October hours may be shortened or changed. On a gray evening, check before you go if you're planning to arrive close to 7. The market lists its navigation address as 105 Cedar Avenue.

What the Market Looks Like This Late in the Year

In May, Jensen told the Tribune that the market had "a full roster from opening day almost through the end of October." She also said its expanded footprint near downtown leaves room for more vendors and activities. In the same article, she described farms as the market's "backbone" and named Woodinville Hot Sauce Company among this year's new vendors.

For a sense of the fall lineup, the vendor listing for September 24 included Holmquist Hazelnut Orchards, Farm Fresh Northwest and Greenwood Cider Company. That list was for one September Thursday, not a promise for the October markets. Vendors rotate, and the end-of-October roster may look different.

Jensen also explained the market's purpose in a way that suits a month when the weather keeps shoppers moving quickly. "One of our missions is to be one of those 'third places,'" she told the Tribune. "You don't necessarily have to spend money to go and feel welcome and feel that sense of community and belonging." She added that nearby restaurants and shops often host live music and evening events after the market closes. In October, that after-market stretch has more to offer on one Thursday than on the others.

October 22 Is the Last Night the Market and Art Walk Overlap

The Snoho Art Walk takes place on the fourth Thursday of every month, from 5 to 8 p.m. Since the market runs 3 to 7 p.m., the two events share a two-hour window on the evening of October 22. This year's market ends on October 29, a fifth Thursday, so October 22 is the last night of the 2026 season when the market and the Art Walk happen together.

The walk is free and self-guided, and it uses an interactive map. Venues host artists, and the lineup changes from month to month. Snohomish Art Community keeps the listings, but it describes the walk as a grassroots effort with no official organizer or curator. The group's current list of rotating venues includes:

  • Arts of Snohomish Gallery
  • Avenue D Gallery
  • Danestyles Hair Artistry & Spa
  • Little Shop of Light
  • Snohomish Exchange
  • St. John's
  • stilig studio
  • Studio 606

The Art Community says participants and listings may not be fully updated until the week or day of the walk. Check the map on the afternoon of the 22nd before you plan your route.

A Familiar Building Back on the Dinner Circuit

For dinner after the stalls pack up, the old Fred's Alehouse building at 1114 1st St. has reopened as F.R.E.D.'S, short for First St Rivertown Eatery & Drinks. In October 2025, WhatNow reported that Wayne and Lisa Mascotti, the owners of Cathouse Pizza, were behind the revival.

The restaurant's website is clear about what it is and isn't. It says the new owners didn't inherit recipes, furniture or a turnkey operation. They brought back "many familiar favorites" in their own style, and it calls the place "old and new, together." Posted hours are noon to 8:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and noon to 9:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and takeout is available by phone. On October 22, that means the kitchen is open half an hour past the end of the Art Walk.

Another option is on the way. In July 2026, WhatNow reported that Madison Pub and Eatery is planned for 1020 Avenue D, the former Alfy's Pizza space. As of that report, no opening date had been announced.

Two Days After the Last Market, First Street Fills Up

First Street Trick or Treat runs 3 to 5 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, with local businesses opening their doors to trick-or-treaters. Halloween falls on a weekend this year. HDSA's event page says the City of Snohomish is coordinating with the Snohomish Police Department, Fire District 4 and the Snohomish Lions Club, and it lays out how foot traffic is expected to move:

  1. Walk westbound on the north side of First Street.
  2. Walk eastbound on the south side, following the direction of traffic.
  3. Expect police at key intersections and some crosswalks closed temporarily.
  4. Look for Lions Club volunteers stationed around downtown to help with crowd flow.

The quietest stop is one block off First. Greg Fulton, music director at St. John's Episcopal, 913 2nd St., will play spooky organ music in the sanctuary from 3 to 5 p.m. The church will also hand out candy and invites people inside to listen. St. John's is also on the Art Walk's rotating venue list, which puts it in two of October's downtown events.

The Sundays in Between

The city calendar fills in the weekends between market Thursdays. The Weekend Run/Walk Club meets at 10 a.m. on Sundays, October 18 and 25, at the Centennial Trail trailhead at Maple Avenue and First Street. On October 18, the Hunger CROP Walk runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church.

Out in the valley, Thomas Family Farm lists daytime pumpkin-patch activities for October 2026 with 149 pumpkin varieties and a corn maze. The farm says its Fun Park is newly open on Friday and Saturday nights. Its site lists more than one set of evening hours, so confirm times on the farm's page before you drive out.

After October 29

The regular season ends on October 29, but the market has one more date this year. Its vendor information page lists a one-day Harvested Holiday Market on Sunday, November 22, 2026. That date is separate from the regular Thursday run, which ends with the October 29 market on Cedar and Pearl.
